At SPG, we take a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach to performance, health, and wellbeing. Our dietitians play a key role in that process. In this blog, we invite you to get to know one of the talented dietitians, Sarah Jane, a little bit better.
Sarah Jane's Background
Originally from Dublin and now based in Edinburgh, Sarah Jane brings a wealth of experience, education, and genuine passion to every client she works with. Her background spans both the NHS and private healthcare, supporting individuals with everything from performance nutrition and sustainable weight management (including GLP1) to women’s health.

"Whether I am helping someone train for their first 5K or supporting an elite athlete on the international stage, my approach remains the same: no judgment, no fads - just practical, evidence-based nutrition that works in the real world."
A Seriously Science-Backed Approach to Dietetics and Nutrition
Sarah Jane’s journey into dietetics is as impressive as it is diverse. She first graduated with a BSc in Radiation Therapy from Trinity College Dublin, before her passion for food, health, and performance led her down a new path.
Since then, she’s completed two Master’s degrees - one in Food, Nutrition and Health from University College Dublin, and another in Dietetics from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Leeds Beckett University and is a registered member of both the HCPC and the SENR (Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register) - the gold standard for sports nutrition professionals in the UK.
Dietitian with a Client-First Approach

For Sarah Jane, client-first means helping clients cut through the noise of diet trends and misinformation to focus on what truly matters: evidence-based habits that support both performance and long-term wellbeing. Every consultation is built around the individual and their goals, preferences, challenges, and routines. This ensures that nutrition becomes something that works for them, not against them.
“Nutrition isn’t about perfection - it’s about consistency, confidence, and understanding how food can work for you and your lifestyle.”
This client-first philosophy is what defines Sarah Jane’s work. She meets every person where they are - offering clarity, compassion, and a flexible approach that fits seamlessly into their life and goals.
Areas of Expertise
Sarah Jane specialises in three key areas:
Sports Nutrition – for endurance, strength, and team sports
Sustainable Weight Management – helping clients achieve balance without restriction
Women’s Health – including hormonal support, menstrual health, and menopause
Her sessions are collaborative, supportive, and highly practical. You won’t find one-size-fits-all meal plans here - instead, Sarah Jane helps you build a confident, sustainable relationship with food that supports your performance, health, and everyday life.
